We recently launched a new Resources for Researchers with Disabilities webpage focused on supporting these researchers and reminding the community about reasonable accommodations that may be supported through an award’s budget or supplement opportunities.
NIH has issued agency-specific information regarding its implementation of the U.S. Government Policy for Oversight of Dual Use Research of Concern and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential (DURC/PEPP Policy). The policy, which goes into effect May 6, 2025, is a unified federal oversight framework for conducting and managing certain types of federally funded life sciences research on biological agents and toxins.
As you may have heard, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) announced a March 28, 2024 update of Statistical Policy Directive No. 15: Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity. There is no action for you at this time – changes must be implemented by March 28, 2029.
